The activity also marked the launching of the 2013 ARMM H.E.L.P.S. Convergence Program on February 13-16, 2013.

Among the regional line agencies leading the launching were Departments of Health, Education, Social Welfare and Development and Interior and Local Governments. These agencies constitute the program cluster heads for Health, Education, Livelihood and Peace and Governance. All the other regional line agencies were also represented in the event.

The launching was held in the three pilot barangays of Rantian in Ditsa-an Ramain, Dilabayan in Taraka, and Taliogon in Ganassi. They were identified by the local chief executives as amongst the depressed barangays in the municipalities.

Services delivered during the launching included supplemental feeding, senior citizens’ payout, orientation on SEA-K and PAMANA by DSWD; proper hand-washing demonstration and distribution of hygiene kit by DepEd; distribution of various plant materials, seedlings and fishing accessories by DAF; conduct of mobile registration by NSO; conduct of medical mission, vaccination and Philhealth card distribution by DOH together with ORVG; ceremonial ground breaking of roads in Ganassi and Taraka by DPWH; and distribution of fishing nets and tilapia fingerlings by BFAR; and information materials by other line agencies.

“H.E.L.P.S.” is an acronym that stands for Health, Education, Livelihood, Peace and Governance, and Synergy. It is designed to bring the services of the Regional Government closer to its constituents. According to Gov. Mujiv S.
