Buluan, Maguindanao – The Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC)-ARMM Chaired by the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) spearheaded an Interface Meeting with the Local Government of Maguindanao held at Buluan, Maguindanao on May 9, 2013. The meeting is a follow-through activity to strengthen coordination through an institutional mechanism to effect project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
The meeting is a follow-through activity of the two-day ARMM H.E.L.P.S. Convergence Workshop in Davao City last April 29-30, 2013. It aims to organize the Project Monitoring Committees at the provincial and municipal levels to effect monitoring and evaluation of projects implemented in the province. Among others, it was agreed that the provincial government will prepare a provincial ARMM H.E.L.P.S. structure to complement the regional ARMM H.E.L.P.S. structure. The Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) shall also be organized by the province. Focal persons shall be officially designated under the ARMM H.E.L.P.S. convergence for sustainability, close project coordination and effective project implementation.
In attendance at the regional level were from the Regional Planning and Development Office led by Engr. Mlang Madal, Mr. Gani Petron of the Office of the Regional Treasury, Mr. Mauricio Civiles of the Department of Interior and Local Government and Ms. Aida Dansao of Technical Management Services-Office of the Regional Governor. Attendance at the provincial level is overwhelming having Engr. Dave Utto, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator of Maguindanao and his staff, DILG Provincial Director Isa Romancap and his staff and other provincial Offices of Maguindanao to include Department of Social Welfare and Development, IPHO and DILG-MLGO of Buluan.(MAA)
