The Regional Development Administration Committee (RDAC) under the Regional Economic and Development Planning Board (REDPB) convened for its 2nd Regular Meeting for CY 2015 on May 5, 2015 at the RPDO Conference Hall, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.
The meeting was facilitated by the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO-ARMM) under the management of Engr. Baintan Adil-Ampatuan, RPDO Executive Director being the technical secretariat of the REDPB in close coordination with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG-ARMM) and member line agencies.
Officials and representatives of the Committee member agencies participated in the meeting namely: Regional Reconciliation and Unification Council (RRUC), Regional Budget and Management Office (RBMO), Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), Office of the Regional Treasurer (ORT), Bureau of Public Information (BPI), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Police Regional Office (PRO-ARMM), 6th Infantry Division (6ID), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Technical Management Services (TMS), Administrative Management Services (AMS) and ARMM Development Academy (ADA).
Atty. Anwar A. Malang, DILG-ARMM Regional Secretary and RDAC chair said that the primary objective of the meeting was to discuss updates on the development activities of the ARMM being implemented by ARMM line agencies.
Engr. Ampatuan emphasized the vital development concerns for discussion include; 1) REDPB Updates, 2) Updates on the Output of the 1st ARMM Planners Congress, 3) HDAP Enhancement, 4) Socio-Economic Profile (SEP) Preparation, 5) Updates on Agency Regular and Special Projects Implementation, and 6) Issues and Concerns of regional importance.
The RDAC is one of the four (4) sectoral committees of the REDPB that assists the RPDO in assessing, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of regional government programs and projects. The agenda in the committee meeting is a prelude to the upcoming conduct of the REDPB meeting.
