The RPDO-ARMM website serves as an e-government created to provide individuals, and organizations vital information and data on the current efforts of the autonomous regional government (ARG) that is more transparent and accessible to the public.

It is an “all-in-one” communication medium as it aims to inform and promote information including news and current affairs of the regional government, interpret and explain detailed data on the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing and completed programs and projects being implemented by the concerned agencies, and be a highly interactive site for the web-visitors by way of commenting and suggesting in the dialogue box for the improvement of the information drive.

TRAINING OF MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAMS ON THE PROTOCOL FOR CASE MANAGEMENT OF CHILD VICTIMS OF ABUSE, NEGLECT, AND EXPLOITATION The ARMM Council Against Trafficking (ACAT) through the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) and RPDO in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Department of Justice (DOJ) National conducted the Training of Multi-Disciplinary Teams on the Protocol for Case Management of Child Victims of Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation which was held on May 27-28, 2015 at Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City.

The training was participated by the members of the Municipal Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence against Women and their Children (MCAT-VAWC) from the 7 UNICEF Areas in ARMM such as Mamasapano, Parang, South and North Upi in Maguindanao, Parang and Siasi in Sulu, and Languyan in Tawi-Tawi. Also, selected members of the ACAT and PCAT from the Provinces of Maguindanao and Tawi-Tawi were invited and capacitated for the said DOJ protocol in handling VAWC cases.

The training aims to address the long-standing challenges in responding to cases of child abuse, neglect and exploitation, such as confusion on the part of the general public relative to the reporting of child abuse cases; the failure of duty bearers to immediately respond to a case because of the unclear delineation between and among government agencies; and non-observation of appropriate referral processes.

With this MDT training, the ARG, DOJ and UNICEF hope to achieve effective and decisive responses and synchronize actions align with the existing laws and more strengthened cooperation and partnership with all the stakeholders, law enforcers, prosecutors, and other key institutions in the government from prosecution, judiciary, and correctional.
