The RPDO-ARMM website serves as an e-government created to provide individuals, and organizations vital information and data on the current efforts of the autonomous regional government (ARG) that is more transparent and accessible to the public.

It is an “all-in-one” communication medium as it aims to inform and promote information including news and current affairs of the regional government, interpret and explain detailed data on the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing and completed programs and projects being implemented by the concerned agencies, and be a highly interactive site for the web-visitors by way of commenting and suggesting in the dialogue box for the improvement of the information drive.

Intensifying Project Monitoring through RPMES and GeotaggingThe Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC), chaired by the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) in coordination with the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES), held a two-day Orientation on Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (RPMES) and Training-Workshop on Geotagging last October 8- 9, 2015 at the EM Manor Hotel Kutawato B Hall, Cotabato City.

Engr. Mlang U. Madal, RPDO Assistant Regional Director, said in his opening remarks that the activity aims to orient and train the participants on RPMES and geotagging.

"The RPMES and geotagging are very important and effective tools or strategies in monitoring projects," Engr. Madal added.

Presented and discussed during the activity were the Process Flow and Reporting of RPMES, Concepts and Benefits of Geotagging, and ARMM-RPMES Database. The RPDO also conducted a hands-on workshop on geotagging as part of the training.

In her closing remarks, Engr. Baintan Adil-Ampatuan, RPDO Executive Director and RPMC chair, stressed that the activity is highly technical and the RPDO believes that this is one of the major gateways in intensifying and instigating the implementation of projects in ARMM.

"The RPDO team continues to conduct this kind of training to all the ARMM employees because we want to impart the knowledge and skills to be able to help us have an accurate and reliable data in monitoring various projects being implemented in the region," Engr. Ampatuan added.

Before the activity ended, representatives from the different regional and provincial line agencies such as DOH, DPWH, DOT, DENR, RRUC, DTI, DOLE, PPDO, DAR, DAF, DOTC and its attached agencies (CAAP, MARINA, CAB, NTC, LTO, and LTFRB), IPMO, DILG, DSWD, and PEO-Maguindanao expressed their gratitude to RPDO.

"In behalf of the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) Maguindanao, we thank the RPDO Executive Director and the rest of the RPDO staff for helping us grow in terms of project monitoring. After this activity, all the participants know that you have inculcated to us enough knowledge on RPMES and geotagging. The provincial line agencies will be reactivated as we share what we have learned during this activity," Engr. Mustapha K. Sinarimbo, PPDO Planning Officer IV, said in his statement.

The training-workshop was spearheaded by the RPDO-ARMM, as the lead agency and chair of the RPMC. The RPMC is the committee which holds project monitoring activities in the region.
