The Regional Social Development Committee (RSDC) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao convened this morning, November 10 at the RPDO Conference Hall during the conduct of its 3rd regular meeting for 2015.
All of the 15 committee members were in attendance to form a quorum namely, DSWD, RPDO, OCD, OSCC, BCH, CDO-BYA, RCBW, TESDA, DOLE, DOST, DOH, RHRDA, BSE-DepEd, CHED, and DepEd.
Ms. Rahima D. Alba, DSWD Regional Secretary and concurrent Chairperson of the Committee, gave an opening statement to formally start the meeting. She also gave an overview of the meeting, emphasizing the goal of the meeting which is to generate some insights among the members on the day's agenda.
Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan, RPDO Executive Director, also gave a message during the meeting. She said that the Committee has a special task in solving issues on social development, especially, in alleviating poverty incidence in the region.
Presented and discussed during the meeting are Issues and Concerns to be elevated to the National Social Development Committee (SDC), Refinement of the Draft ARMM Socio-Economic Profile (SEP), Orientation on the Localization of the National Action Plan on Women Peace and Security (LNAP-WPS), Proposed Resolution Unifying the Regional Steering Committee (RSC) LNAP into the Regional Sub-Committee on Gender and Development (RSCGAD), and Orientation on Senior High School Voucher's Program.
The Committee has adopted a resolution integrating the Regional Steering Committee (RSC) LNAP into the Regional Sub-Committee on Gender and Development (RSCGAD).
The RSDC is one of the sectoral committees of the Regional Economic Development Planning Board (REDPB), which assists the REDPB Technical Secretariat in assessing, evaluating, coordinating and monitoring the implementation of regional government programs and projects.
