The Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) in close coordination with the Office of the Regional Governor (ORG) conducted a consultation meeting on ARMM-Humanitarian and Development Action Plan (ARMM-HDAP) held yesterday, May 19, 2015 at the Bajau Hall, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.
During the meeting, Engr. Baintan Adil-Ampatuan, RPDO Executive Director emphasized that the primary objective of the meeting was to further enhance the HDAP especially the situation analysis component.
“The situation analysis is one of the most important parts of the plan as this provides basis in the identification of programs or projects,” Dir. Ampatuan added.
Dir. Ampatuan also provided an orientation on ARMM-HDAP and the timelines in the preparation of the plan which is expected to be finalized before the end of June 2015.
Atty. Laisa Masuhud Alamia, ARMM Executive Secretary presided the meeting. In her message, she emphasized that the ARMM-HDAP is one of the preparations of the ARMM for the Bangsamoro. The plan will serve as the legacy of the ARMM, hence, the need to fastrack the refinement of the ARMM-HDAP.
Ms. Melanie Mampen-Indar, RPDO Macro-Economic Planning Division Chief shared inputs on the formulation of Situational Analysis (SA) and sectoral indicators to be considered in the preparation of SA.
She also oriented the participants on the different matrices to be accomplished that will serve as important inputs in the enhancement of the Situation Analysis of the ARMM-HDAP.
The HDAP was created to address the needs of the affected families in the evacuation centers as well as provide follow-through development interventions in the affected communities. The plan was also designed to document the current initiatives and practices of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARG), Local Government Units (LGUs), and other development partners in responding to calamities.
