The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) gathered ARMM regional and local officials during a Mindanao-leg of its consultation-series on the mid-term updating of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) at the Al-Nor Convention Center in Cotabato City on April 24, 2013.

The PDP consultation-series across the country’s 16 regions, including the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) is essential part of NEDA’s mandates under President Aquino’s Memorandum Circular No. 43, dated February 4, 2013.

Engineer Baintan Adil-Ampatuan, Executive Director of the Regional Planning and Development Office, said the consultation-series was specifically spearheaded by the six Planning Committees (PCs) organized by NEDA, being the government’s leading policy and plan formulating executive agency, in efforts at updating the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and the revalidation of the Results Matrix (RM), as well as the Public Investment Program (PIP) for 2014-2016.
