The Good Governance and Anti-Corruption (GGAC) Cluster Executive Committee meeting was conducted on December 3, 2015 at the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Conference Room, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City. The meeting was facilitated by the DILG, Committee Chair, and Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO), Committee’s technical secretariat.

With the goal to sustain open, transparent, accountable and inclusive governance in the autonomous region, the Committee presented and discussed updates on Good Governance Initiatives (GGI) covering January to October 2015.

"There is a need to assess the performance of the Committee to intensify the governance processes of the regional government," Engr. Khalid Dumagay, DILG-Director III said.Engr. REDPB Sectoral Meeting

The Regional Economic and Development Planning Board of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (REDPB-ARMM) is currently convening its Sectoral Committees Quadripartite Meeting at the AlNor Convention Hall, AlNor, Cotabato City.

“All four (4) committees should discuss thoroughly their sectoral agenda. We hope we can generate inputs from the committees so that the sectoral agenda will be included in the upcoming RETCC and REDPB meeting next year,” Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan, Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) Executive Director, stressed in her opening message.

ARMM upholds campaign on ending violence against women (VAW)

"In our communities, violence against women (VAW) is taboo. Our women are very vulnerable. What we need to do is to further intensify our campaigns on the rights of the women because these laws rightfully protect our women against the violence being inflicted by their husband, father, or any man," Former Assistant Secretary of the national's Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) now running for senator, Ms. Bai Nariman Ambulodto emphasized in her message. She delivered the message during the onset of the 18th Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women Cum Launching of the ARMM Gender and Development (GAD) Code Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) on November 25, 2015 in front of the Office of the Regional Governor (ORG), ARMM Compound, Cotabato City. RPDO extends technical assistance services to RHRCIn view of strengthening government services, the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO-ARMM) headed by Executive Director Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan, facilitated the Four-Day Strategic Planning Activity conducted by the Regional Human Rights Commission (RHRC-ARMM) on November 17-20, 2015 at the EM Manor Hotel, Cotabato City.

The activity aimed to achieve two (2) of the RHRC's output, the preparation of 2016 Annual Work Plan and the 3-Year Strategic Action Plan covering 2016-2018.

RHRC Commissioner Alikhan O. Abuat said that the activity is very crucial especially in the effective implementation of the institution's mandates which enables us to have an impact in the Bangsamoro. Add a comment

ARMM commemorates 26th Anniversary with simplicity and modesty

The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Governor Mujiv S. Hataman, officials and employees gathered during the commemoration of the region's 26th Anniversary on November 19, 2015 at the Office of the Regional Governor (ORG) Quadrangle, Cotabato City.

"The commemoration is made simple and modest in solidarity with the rest of the world that mourns over the countless deaths resulting from the recent indiscriminate terror attacks against humanity," ARMM Governor Hataman emphasized in his message.

"Today, we also want to advocate peace through the passage of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL). The BBL will mark as the major triumph of the Moro people," Governor Hataman added. Add a comment

RSC on Water and Sanitation gains support from UNICEF

The Regional Sub-Committee on Water and Sanitation (RSCWS) members, together with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) staff, convened on November 18, 2015 at the RPDO Meeting Room 2, RPDO Building, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City. The meeting aimed to orient WASH partners on the committee as well as identify the committees’ functions to strengthen government interventions on Water and Sanitation (WatSan) in the region.

The meeting was facilitated by the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) in close coordination with the Office of the Regional Governor (ORG), Committee Chair, and region's Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Committee Co-chair.
