8 ARMM line agencies join the Statistical Exhibit ContestJudges from Office of the Attorney General, Bureau of Public Information (BPI), and Office of the Regional Treasurer (ORT) adjudicated the Statistical Exhibit Contest held yesterday, October 20, 2015, at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex (SKCC) lobby, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

Eight (8) regional line agencies have participated in the exhibit such as Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Health (DOH),Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE),Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO).

Emphasized in their exhibits are updated statistical data and information on programs and projects focused on the livelihood, education, health, labor and employment, agriculture, environment and more.

The Statistical Exhibit is conducted in line with the 26th National Statistics Month (NSM) celebration which is anchored to this year's theme "Pagyamanin at Gamitin ang Estadistika, Kalusugan para sa Lahat ay Abot-Kamay Na".

RSC-ARMM showcases ARMM Statistical Data through Exhibit

The Statistical Exhibit is themed at the 26th National Statistics Month (NSM) celebration, "Pagyamanin at Gamitin ang Estadistika, Kalusugan para sa Lahat ay Abot-Kamay Na" which emphasizes the government’s thrust on universal health care and the recognition of the various endeavors of official statisticians and technical personnel involved in the generation of health and nutrition statistics.

The Exhibit is participated in by various regional line agencies such as RPDO, DOH, PSA, RBOI, DENR, DepEd, and BFAR.

"Statistics play a very important role in all agencies. These statistical data should be accurate, dependable and above all, usable," Dr. Dr. Kadil M. Sinolinding, DOH -ARMM Regional Secretary, stressed in his opening remarks.

Atty. Honey Mae Mori-Subiera, Executive Assistant V of the Office of the Attorney General, delivered a message in behalf of the Regional Governor Mujiv S. Hataman. She said that with statistics, we are able to monitor the performance of the agencies.

"We have ONE goal and that is to be responsive to the needs of the people in ARMM", Atty. Mori-Subiera added. She also congratulated the RPDO and DOH on its efforts in conducting the Statistical Exhibit.

Engr. Mlang U. Madal, RPDO Assistant Regional Director, said in his message that the participating agencies in the Statistical Exhibit shall showcase accurate, reliable and very timely data.

The Statistical Exhibit will run until October 23, 2015, Friday, simultaneous to the 2nd World Statistics Day (WSD) with the theme: “Better data. Better lives" and medical mission activity of the DOH-ARMM.

Intensifying Project Monitoring through RPMES and GeotaggingThe Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC), chaired by the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) in coordination with the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES), held a two-day Orientation on Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (RPMES) and Training-Workshop on Geotagging last October 8- 9, 2015 at the EM Manor Hotel Kutawato B Hall, Cotabato City.

Engr. Mlang U. Madal, RPDO Assistant Regional Director, said in his opening remarks that the activity aims to orient and train the participants on RPMES and geotagging.

RPDO joins 23rd National Family Week CelebrationARMM employees including the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO-ARMM) staff marched during the kick-off parade of the 23rd National Family Week Celebration held last September 22, 2015 at the ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

With the theme "Family Solidarity, Gender Equality and Children's Rights in Contemporary Families", Asec. Pombaen K. Kader, DSWD-ARMM Assistant Secretary, delivered the message in behalf of Regional Vice-Governor Al-Rashid Lucman, DSWD-ARMM concurrent Regional Secretary. She underscored that family is the foundation of the nation and through the celebration, regional agencies can intensify the importance of strengthening our family. "The family is indeed the basic unit of society. The stronger the family we have, the stronger society we will be," she added.

The family week celebration will run until September 28, 2015, Saturday.
