RPDO takes part in the 115th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary Celebration Hundreds of ARMM employees including the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO-ARMM) staff converged to celebrate the 115th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) facilitated by the Civil Service Commission (CSC-ARMM) held yesterday, September 1, 2015 at the ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

With the theme "Kayang Kaya Mo, Lingkod Bayan!", the CSC-ARMM, headed by Regional Director Leopoldo Roberto Valderosa Jr., granted the Citizen’s Satisfaction Center – Seal of Excellence Award to four line agencies in the region which includes Social Security System-Basilan Branch, Philippine Statistics Authority-Lanao del Sur Provincial Office, PhilHealth Regional Office, and PhilHealth-Marawi. RPDO bags 2 major awards The Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO), under the leadership of Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan, bagged two (2) major awards, Top Performing Agency and Top Performing Agency Head, during the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Regional Budget and Management Office (RBMO) held on August 25, 2015 at the Pagana Kutawato Native Restaurant, Cotabato City.

The Top Performing Agency Award was based on the Work and Financial Plan FY 2015 with RPDO having the highest target accomplishment (93.13%) as of the first semester of 2015 while the Top Performing Agency Head Award was given to Engr. Baintan Ampatuan, RPDO Executive Director. It was based on the highest target accomplishment and with the most number of early submission/compliance to the reportorial requirements (Accountability Reports)as of June 30, 2015. Add a comment

RPDO leads Training-Workshop on Geo-Tagging The Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) through the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) in close coordination with the Office of the Regional Governor and Provincial Government of Tawi-Tawi led the Two-Day Training-Workshop on Geo-tagging last August 18-19, 2015 at the Porch Bay Hotel and Restaurant, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

Information Technology (IT) Officers from the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDCs), and selected provincial line agencies, and bureaus such as Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), ARMM-Health, Education, Livelihood, Peace and Governance, and Synergy Project Monitoring Office, and PAyapa at MAsaganang pamayaNAn (PAMANA) Project Monitoring Office participated in the said training-workshop.

The activity aimed to provide knowledge on geo-tagging and its contribution to open governance by promoting transparency and accountability in monitoring and evaluation, as well as efficient and cost-effective project implementation and management of programs and projects. It was also aimed to capacitate the participants on the process of geo-tagging from installation to its usage and to institutionalize geo-tagging processes in the region.

RPDO holds WatSan Coordination MeetingThe Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO-ARMM) conducted a Water and Sanitation (WatSan) Coordination Meeting last September 1, 2015 at the RPDO Conference Hall, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

The meeting aimed to discuss the proposed creation of a regional structure that will oversee the implementation of water and sanitation projects in ARMM.

In behalf of RPDO Executive Director Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan, Ms. Melanie Mampen-Indar, Macro-Economic Planning Division (MEPD) Chief, presented the details of the proposal which includes the proposed composition, and functions and responsibilities of the Regional Sub-Committee for WatSan (RSCW). She also discussed about the proposal for mapping the WatSan projects in the region.

Engr. Khalid S. Dumagay, Director III of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG-ARMM), said that the RSCW will be one of the best efforts of the regional government in implementing and sustaining the water and sanitation facilities in the region. Add a comment

RPMC monitors 2013-2014 PAMANA Projects The Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) chaired by the Regional Planning and Development Office and co-chaired by the Office of the Executive Secretary conducted field monitoring visits in some of the municipalities of Maguindanao on August 17-20, 2015.

The activity aimed to monitor status of the implementation of PAMANA projects, and geo-tagged exact location of projects. Project data and information gathered from the project sites will be accessible to public viewing through the Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (RPMES) Database available in the RPDO website.

The RPMC-ARMM visited various barangays in the municipalities of Buluan, Datu Piang Talayan, Ampatuan, Matanog, Buldon, and Barira to monitor and geotag the implementation of 2013 and 2014 Payapa at Masaganang PamayaNAn (PAMANA) projects.

The Committee monitored PAMANA projects being implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Agriculture and Department of Social Welfare and Development, such as 1) roads, 2) livelihood projects (Pre and post harvest facilities, goat raising, cattle raising, and Bagsakan Center), 3) toilet facilities, and 4) Community Peace Center.

The RPMC Team is composed of representatives from Regional Planning and Development Office, as the Committee Chair, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Office of the Regional Treasurer (ORT), Technical Management Services-Office of the Regional Governor (TMS-ORG), Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society Organization (CBCS), and PAMANA-PMO-ORG.

RETCC convenes in preparation for the 2nd REDPB Meeting, CY 2015

The Regional Executive Technical Coordinating Committee (RETCC) convenes its 1st Regular Meeting, CY 2015 held today, August 4, 2015 at the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) Conference Room, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

ARMM Executive Secretary Laisa Masuhud-Alamia presides the meeting being the chair of the RETCC. In attendance are Executive Director Baintan Adil-Ampatuan, Head of the REDPB Secretariat, Director Abdulhakeem Suod Barodi, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Interim Regional Director, Ms. Norkhalila Mae Campong, ORG-ARMM Cabinet Secretary, Atty. Sahara Alia J. Silongan, ORG-ARMM Attorney-General, Atty. Rasol Y. Mitmug, ORG-ARMM Chief of Staff, and Mr. Gani J. Petron of the Office of the Regional Treasurer (ORT-ARMM).

The committee confers three (3) agenda which includes the following: 1) Adoption and Endorsement of Inclusive Partnerships for Agricultural Competitiveness (IPAC) Project to be funded by the World Bank to Department of Agrarian Reform Central Office (DARCO)- Foreign and Special Projects Office (FASPO) and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), 2) Presentation of the 2015 Census of Population, and 3) 2014 Report on the Economic Performance of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).

RETCC is the executive committee of the Regional Economic and Development Planning Board (REDPB) that reviews and discusses development agenda proposed to be elevated to the board for deliberation and appropriate actions.
