The Regional Project Monitoring Committee of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RPMC-ARMM) monitored and geo-tagged projects under 2012 to 2016 ARMM Annual Infrastructure in the province of Basilan last February 29-March 4, 2016.

The RPMC team was composed of representatives from the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO), Technical Management Services-Office of the Regional Governor (TMS-ORG), Maranao Development Center (MARADECA) Inc. The team was also accompanied by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), as the lead implementing regional line agency in infrastructure projects.

RIDC-ARMM MeetingThe Regional Infrastructure Development Committee of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RIDC-ARMM) conducted its 1st Regular Meeting for CY 2016 yesterday February 18, at the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) Conference Hall, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

The Committee was chaired by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) under the headship of its Regional Secretary Engr. Don Mustapha A. Loong, and facilitated by the RPDO as the technical secretariat of the Regional Economic Development and Planning Board (REDPB).

Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan, RPDO Executive Secretary and ARMM-Humanitarian and Development Action Plan (ARMM-HDAP) Project Manager, delivered her opening statement. The Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao monitored and geotagged 2014 ARMM-HELPS (Health, Education, Livelihood, Peace and Governance, and Synergy) and 2014 PAMANA (Payapa at MasaganangPamayanan) Roads to Peace Projects in the province of Basilan. Said project monitoring was conducted last February 8-12, 2016 in the island Municipalities of Lantawan, Akbar, Al-Barka, Hadji Muhammad Adjul, and HadjiMuhtamad.

Among the ARMM-HELPS Projects visited were barangay hall, multi-purpose building, children's park, community learning center, electrification, water system, market/bagsakan, fish port, housing (5 units), footbridge, livelihood projects (vegetation), boats, and health facilities; while PAMANA Roads to Peace Projects are concreting of circumferential and two-lane roads.Mentioned projects are located atBrgy. Cambug, Al-Barka,Brgy. Buton, Hadji Muhammad Adjul,Brgy. Tausan, HadjiMuhtamad, and Brgy.Sulloh, TabuanLasa. ARMM Officials ink MOA for 2016 HDAP Projects

Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) officials inked the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the region's Humanitarian and Development Action Plan (HDAP) projects yesterday, February 16 at the Bajau Hall, Office of the Regional Governor (ORG), ARMM Compound, Cotabato City. The activity was facilitated by the ARMM-HDAP Project Management Office (PMO) in coordination with the ORG.

The officials who affixed their signatures were ARMM Governor Mujiv S. Hataman, ARMM Executive Secretary Atty. Laisa M. Alamia, and RPDO Executive Director and ARMM-HDAP Project Manager Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan and concerned Regional Secretaries/Heads of Offices.

Executive Secretary Alamia stressed in her message that the signing of the ARMM-HDAP MOA is one of the most essential parts of the Plan's implementation. "The implementation of the Plan's projects will boost up the lives of the people who are in conflict affected areas in the 2nd District of Maguindanao and its neighboring areas," she added. RDAC Meeting Members of the Regional Development Administration Committee (RDAC) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) convene during the conduct of its 1st Regular Meeting for CY 2016 held on February 10 at the Regional Planning and Development (RPDO) Conference Hall, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

ARG Commemorates Mamasapano Incident

Officials and employees of the region gathered for the flag ceremony and short program to commemorate the Mamasapano incident held earlier this morning, January 25 at the region's seat, Cotabato City.

Engr. Baintan A. Ampatuan, Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) Executive Director and ARMM-Humanitarian and Development Action Plan (HDAP) Project Manager, stressed in her message that this day is an opportune time to reminisce what happened during the Mamasapano incident where more than 125,000 individuals were internally displaced from their homes.

"Due to the incident, the Regional Governor together with the concerned line agencies formulated a comprehensive plan that will immediately aid the needs of the people in the area. It encompasses not just the Mamasapano but also its neighboring areas. The Plan is dubbed as ARMM-Humanitarian and Development Action Plan covering the period 2015-2016," Engr. Ampatuan added.
